Make A Rock Band Video, Win An MTV Moonman
Pepsi, Rock Band and MTV want to make you a star. Or at least a minor internet celebrity. The triad is launching the Drink Up and Rock Out summer promotion that includes the traditional "check under the cap to see if you've won while you rot your teeth and make yourself fat" type stuff, giving away Xboxes, Rock Band Bundles and DLC.
The real reason to enter though, is the video contest. Contestants may choose a song from the official contest list and make a music video of themselves and their Rock band band performing it. All videos will be uploaded to the official Rock Band website to be voted on and the winners will receive a trip to the MTV Music Video Awards and one of the coveted MTV Moonman Awards. Entries will be accepted June 2 - July 28 with voting starting on August 8.
For those of you with quick turnaround skills, a special kick off promotion is happening June 2. If you get your video submission in on the first day before 6pm, you'll be entered to win a free trip to E3 to perform at the Harmonix Rock Band booth. Just be sure you've cleared your schedule and packed your bags because if you win, you'll be leaving the next day. Fame is fleeting, grab it while you can.
