Harmonix Shows Off Rickenbacker And Gretsch Controllers For Beatles: Rock Band

rbguitarsbeatles.jpg

With the way designs for Rock Band controllers are advancing, soon you won't be able to tell the difference between them and a real guitar. Harmonix has just revealed the designs for the Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet, the guitars used exclusively by John Lennon and George Harrison throughout their illustrious careers. They will retail for $99 a pop on their own or they will be available as part of the Beatles: Rock Band bundle. Not terribly cheap on their own, but then again they look pretty sharp and they are wireless.

I'm really looking forward to the Beatles Rock Band although I doubt I will be shelling out the extra cash for the special instruments as cool as they are. My pile of peripherals is slowly taking over my living room. Another couple of guitars and I won't be able to have guests over.

Freakin sweet! Harmonix makes the best guitar peripherals, hands down. It'll be VERY hard to not get one of the Lennon guitars when this game hits.
