GameTap Plays Well With Microsoft

GameTap has just announced new content on the way to their subscription service, courtesy of a brand-new partnership with Microsoft Game Studios that opens up a whole bunch of the publisher's PC games for Windows. We're talking about titles like Age of Mythology, Age of Empires 2, Rise of Nations, Freelancer, Fable: The Lost Chapters, Mech Warrior 4: Mercenaries and the Zoo Tycoon series.
"We're thrilled to add to the library of great PC games on the new GameTap through this partnership with Microsoft Games," said Pierre Forest, VP of Content. "These games have proven to be some of the most played games in our catalogues in Europe, and we expect they will have the same success in the US."
The subscription play rights are for the U.S. and Europe, so GameTap subscribers are about to have a whole bunch of new material to choose from!

Since the Metaboli takeover, Gametap has gone to hell. The current system is a beta, that everyone is forced to use. It still isn't functional in firefox for me, and their forums are ablaze with cries of "I want my money back!"
yeah it's a shame that gametap went from a stand alone player that worked great... to now being web based filled with bugs... it's too bad because i enjoyed gametap and they left me no choice but to cancel my membership with them... oh well
