Gabe And Tycho Agree: Dokapon Is Awesome!
I was vindicating to read Tycho's article on Penny Arcade yesterday in defense of Dokapon Journey. We have been championing the Dokapon franchise (such as it is with two titles under its belt) and how awesome it is to wreck your interpersonal relationships with your friends for a while now. Several of us here in the castle are currently not speaking to each other as a result of lengthy sessions.
Despite low review scores, those of us in the know can tell you it's a great deal of fun. It's like Mario Party with teeth and a knife hiding behind its back. If you like board games, RPGs and being hateful to your friends this is the game for you. And the bonus is, it can be played on the DS with four people on one card or multiple cards. If you are more for the console experience, check out Dokapon Kingdom for the Wii. I think I like the Wii game better in some ways, but both are a blast.
if you are looking for a good DS multiplayer experience, do yourself a favor and give Dokapon Journey a try... if you can find it! There was a limited run on this one so if you see it, grab it.

I picked this game up after hearing Brute lavishing nothing but praise on this game and I have to say that it really is *that* good!
Atlus deserves a lot of love in general, but we should be especially supportive of this incredibly awesome game. This has to be the best multiplayer game on the system since the release of Mario Kart.
Do yourself a favor and buy it now before it becomes one of those "hard to find" Atlus games.

Move 4 spaces >>> Get owned because its too random >>>Wait 3 turns>>> Repeat.
Controlling the battles a bit more would have made this fun and introducing more random-roll fun-killing goodness elsewhere would have been fine.
