Disney Sings Pop Hits

Disney's karaoke series continues with the third game, Disney Sing It: Pop Hits getting ready to drop this fall on the Wii and PlayStation 3 systems. Featuring 30 master recordings and videos from Disney favorites, you'll be able to get your groove on with folks like Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, Jesse McCartney, as well as Coldplay and One Republic. What an odd mix.

"Great music, chart-topping artists and immersive gameplay are the key components in making this franchise popular with tweens and families around the world," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "In addition to an exciting new collection of songs, the fun factor has been raised with new multiplayer elements that will bring hours of enjoyment to music fans of all ages."

In addition to the solo, duet and head-to-head modes, this game will feature singing lessons from some girl named Tiffany Thornton who is from some Disney Channel show called Sonny With a Chance. The exercises will teach you the basics of pitch and breathing all they way to harmonizing and riffing. Honestly, that's not a bad idea. I know I could use some singing lessons. I mean have you heard me try to sing in Rock Band? It's brutal.

Other new features include Sing It Encore, which will allow you to record and playback performances, adding special effects; Run the Risk, where you can outbid opponents on predicted scores; Duet Mode, where you can score higher by harmonizing with friends; and unlockables like pins and themes to customize console wallpapers.

Don't laugh — I know some of you will want this!

Oh c'mon, it can't be that bad. Perhaps you should post a video of you singing on YouTube and let us be the judge. :)
