Wii Sports Resort Bringing Motion Plus In July

One game that has been mysteriously absent from Nintendo release lists is the Wii pack-in sequel Wii Sports Resort. But as much as I'm sure it will be a fine game in its own right, personally I care more about what comes with it: Wii Motion Plus. With Wii Motion Plus, the Wii will have the potential for true 1:1 motion and gesture control. So when will we be able to get our hand on it? Glad you asked.
During an address at The Foreign Correspondents Club in Japan, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata made the announcement that Wii Sports Resort with all of its motion plus-ness would be hitting store shelves in Japan in June and overseas in July. How convenient, that gives Nintendo enough time to show it off at E3 and announce a mystery game or two that will use Motion Plus and release around the same time (Red Steel 2 I'm looking at you).
There is still some mystery around the release of Wii Sports Resort. Pricing for one is still up in the air, though I'm expecting it to have the standard retail price like Wii Play did. An exact release date is also yet to be found, though European gamers should be encouraged by Iwata using the word "overseas" rather than just saying the US. Here's hoping that Nintendo spills the beans sometime in the next month and a half before E3.

I think I'll wait until the Wii Motion Plus Lite comes out...
