Rumor: Wii Motion Plus Dated For Europe, Wii Fit Plus Revealed
A gaming retailer in Amsterdam has gone ahead and posted some interesting information to their release schedule, dating the Wii Motion Plus peripheral and Wii Sports Resort for July 10th, at least in Europe. Additionally, something called Wii Fit Plus is on the schedule as well, with a release date of November 19th. Neither seem like traditional placeholder dates, but until official confirmation from Nintendo, both remain rumors for now.
The Wii Motion Plus dates make some amount of sense. With E3 at the beginning of June, it gives the company about a month to get it into stores after whatever big reveals the company has in store for the Expo. That's a page right out of the Apple playbook. Wii Fit Plus is presumably an update to the popular fitness software, but whether it would just tack on motion plus support or add additional minigames and management tools, we'll have to wait and see. Also note that, if real, these are European dates, and North American ones might be slightly different. Of course, lost in these two games is the fact that Wii Verjaardagsfeest is coming June 6th. Everybody get out your wooden shoes!
