Rock Band Boldly Goes Where No Man Has Gone Before

You have to take press releases with a grain of salt on April 1, but if they're going to go so far as to create an elaborate website, and allow me to enter into a sweepstakes, then I'm going to assume this weird mashup might actually be true.
MTV Games and Harmonix are apparently teaming up with Paramount Pictures to use Rock Band to promote the May 8th release of Star Trek. Starting today, you can enter a sweepstakes where you could win a free Rock Band Music Store download. They're giving away 500 every day from April 7 through April 21, so that's quite a lot of free tuneage. I'm hoping I get lucky.
Then, on April 20, running through April 27, there will be a special Star Trek Ultimate Battle in the Battle of the Bands section where the band with the highest score will win a special screening of Star Trek in their hometown for their band and their friends. In addition, 20 random players will win a Star Trek/Rock Band prize pack.
Finally, on April 27, you can create a futuristic avatar in-game and export it to RockBand.com where the community and Harmonix will judge the winner. The winner will be selected on May 11, and win the "The Future Is Now" prize pack including top of the line Rock Band game accessories.
Man, I hope this isn't some ridiculously elaborate April Fool's prank on their part. I've already registered to win some free songs, and I'll be really annoyed if it's all a scam!

Well Rock Band was originally announced on April Fools day so you never know.
