Namco Bandai Editor's Day: Soul Calibur and Tekken Coming To PSP

Yesterday's Namco Bandai Editor's Day started off with a bang with some exciting handheld announcements. The company's two major fighting game franchises, Tekken and Soul Calibur will be coming exclusively to the PSP.

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny will not be a port, but an all new game for the PSp that will include the usual suspects (aki, Mitsurugi, Tira, Astaroth, Ivy, Cassandra, Voldo, Siegfried, Hilde, etc) plus a few new ones to keep things exciting including a dandy fellow named Dampierre. And I do mean DANDY. There will also be arcade, ad hoc versus, and survival modes as well as a character creation element. If all goes well we should be seeing it on our PSPs this summer.

Tekken 6 will be making it's PSP debut alongside the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases of the game. It will have additional content, items, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode. There will be plenty of familiar characters in there along side the many fan favorites. Tekken 6 will be hitting consoles and PSP this fall.
