GameFly.com Re-launches With A Glamorous Makeover

(Ok, so it's not that glamorous a makeover, but it's certainly renovated and much easier to navigate.)
GameFly.com broke onto the gaming scene in 2002 and has since become a stand out in the video game rental industry. Basing their business on the Netflix structure, GameFly will send out games customers have place in a queue and charge a monthly fee with no late charges. Additionally, if you rent a game you like, you can pay for it and keep it! Of course, you don't get the nifty cover but then many used games you get at GameStop don't have them either.
The website has recently gotten an overhaul and features new functionality and added content. Customers can now access detailed pages for their favorite games that include critic reviews, user reviews, videos, screenshots and FAQs. The Pre-played Store has also received an update allowing you to now search for games by price and platform.
If you are a GameFly customer or thinking of becoming one, check out their new digs. As a rental service, they can't be beat and while I am not personally a customer, I know many people who are and they absolutely love it. Why go to right-wing Blockbuster when you can easily get the titles you want through the mail?

I'd like to point out, when you buy a game you've rented on GameFly they do actually send you the case and manual. I had rented and then purchased WarHawk for the PS3, not only did I get the case and manual, but the additional paper box with Bluetooth headset… not bad!
Actually, I've been a GF customer for a while and I've always gotten the cover (and instruction) booklet for games I rented and decided to keep. I should also note that not every game can be purchased after you rent them.
I actually just canceled my membership. Not because it's a bad service though, merely because there were no games I wanted to rent now, or in the foreseeable future. 25 Bucks a month(2 game plan) is a bit much if I'm not going to be using it for at least 3 months.
The site does look and work much better now.
I canceled for the same reason as SHip but I have had few problems with the service, all of them minor. Gamefly is pretty awesome although I wish the monthly charge was more in line with Netflix's.
I've joined and cancelled Gamefly twice. Once was back in 2002 because the turn around time on games was verging a week. The second time I rejoined in January of this year and cancelled last week, because even though the shipping times improved, their ability to send the top 5-6 games on my queue (which are the games I really want to play) was nonexistant. I either got the games at the bottom of my list that I added simply as filler, or I had to delete my entire list, and keep only one game on there and wait around two weeks for it to ship out, even if I did not currently posses any games. Most of these games were listed as "medium or low" availability, but never said there was no availablity. if you want to play games that are around a year old, then gamefly is awesome cuz you can rotate ur queue very fast. If you are looking to play new releases, that's another story.
I've just joined Gamefly recently, and I have to say, it's definitely worth it for a PS3 trophy whore like myself. The vast majority of current PS3 games aren't of sufficient quality to warrant a purchase, so this is a much more cost-efficient method of entertainment for me.
