Free SingStar Tune-Up
On Thursday, April 16, Sony is releasing a free update for SingStar on the PlayStation 3 that'll bring it up to version 3.01. (God, did you ever think that games would have version numbers like computer programs?) The update will add over 30 Trophies to the game, and also what they're calling "SingStar Voice Control" function. Basically, just speak the track you want to play, and it'll come right up. That's kind of cool. But apparently the Voice Control comes on April 22. Oh, and your SingStar Online profile page will be getting a redesign. Sony would also like you to be aware that because of the update, SingStore and My SingStar Online will be down for about eight hours on the 16th, so you'll have to sing solo for a bit. In other bad news, the press release only touts this as an update across the PAL territories, and I wasn't able to dig up any confirmation on a US date anywhere. Hopefully it won't be too much later!
