Cheap Date: GameStop's Game Days Is This Weekend!
Even in these rough economic times it seems as though I cannot escape massive sales and enormous clearances. First there's that deal on Alien Hominid HD on Live, then there was the "all day, all Wii" Deal of The Day over at Amazon, now there's Gamestop's Game Days!
Those clever cats over at Cheap Ass Gamer managed to track down a giant list of games that will be part of the massive sale that starts this Sunday. The sale covers every platform that the store covers (even those UMD thingies!) while prices ranging from $30 all the way down to $5. Be warned though, if I get word of any PSP owning GayGamer passing up Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles when it's priced at $10, I will be forced to hurt you. I also strongly recommend that any WipeOut fan should pick up any incarnation of Speed Racer. It may not be as pretty, but it's just as fun. For my own habbits, I'll be on the look out for Sam and Max: Season One (Wii), Metal Slug 7 (DS), and a replacement copy of Silent Hill Origins (PSP).

The only one that seems of interest for me is "Sam and Max" on the Wii. Otherwise, just seems Gamestop is trying to offload a lot of sub-par titles.
As a former GameStop employee, I'm surprised by the quality of the games offered this year. Normally these "Game Days" events are ways for GameStop to clear out the backstock from its warehouses, but there's some good stuff to be had here. Metal Slug 7? Chrono Trigger DS? Valkyria Chronicles? Persona 3: FES? Sweet.
I will be in my local Gamestop to get my DSi. (btw so effing excited.) The last thing I need is another reason to spend money on crap I don't need. Thanks for adding that coupon for an extra temptation. ;)
