Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary

RUU_0132.JPG

Dear Diary,

This will probably be a pretty short entry, since it was a pretty quiet week in Narnia. It's funny, because Sahara and Wilbur keep showing up, but I kind of ignore them. Wilbur just gives you patterns, which I have no use for, really, and Sahara only gives you crap carpets, so I don't bother with her, either. It's also a pain in the butt to have to collect old carpets from other people to recycle. And I think you have to collect more than a couple to get something good in return, so it'll take a couple of visits without trading them in to gather that many. Too much work! I will trade Pascal a scallop if I've got one to get a piece of his furniture set. Too bad this time around I got another barrel. Sigh. I did think it was unusual that he wasn't on the usual bridge, but on the brand new one that was recently built. Maybe he was checking it out to see if it was good for jumping. He's an odd duck. And he's not even a duck!

So my friend Rob sent me 100 bells to congratulate me on being the model room, but when I went to the city to check it out, the display room that I saw there was from my friend Ben in Duckburg. Huh? That's really weird. I would've thought the model room would be the same for everyone, but I guess not. Maybe you can never be the model room in your own city. Weird. Oh, but Rob also sent me 99,000 bells to help fund my town's fountain, which was really sweet. He says he wants to spend it all because he's thinking of razing his town and starting over from scratch. I could never do that. I'm too attached to some of my new friends.

The prices on turnips were so awful last week (I wasn't going to sell turnips I'd bought for 105 bells for just 35!) that I thought I'd test out the rumor that you could store them on top of a table in your house and they wouldn't spoil. Yeah, that turned out not to be true, sadly. Oh well. What a waste of money. At least I was able to sell my red turnip for the 15,000 bells and come out ahead a little bit.

Well, it's Spring now, which means a lot of rain. It's been raining a lot lately. Although I think it's fun to walk in the grass and hear it squish under your feet. And I love when you dig up the fossils and gyroids because it's all wet-sounding. There's even a splash when you fill in the holes! It's all about the details!

And that's about it for this week. Like I said, no biggie. I'm still frustrated trying to get my town perfect, and I can't find a new painting (or a real one) for the museum to save my life. Sigh.

that's strange, when i had the model room, i was able to go see it. I even took a pic of him telling me that narnia had the model room for proof

I'm done with ac after being bullied and blacklisted by gaygamers in hyrule some months ago, I won't mension any names

Dear JMF69,

Now, now this is uncalled for. I am appauled that by mentioning my town you have therefore dropped my name and so feel compelled to defend myself.

I never mentioned names when you ran through my patch of hybrids and jacobs ladders and destroyed them, to be honest I wasnt sure of the culprit at the time. In fact at the time I was also wary of Danny and Adrian as they were also present and it had somewhat ruined my online experience on AC to the point of where I considered not playing online. That was until you came into my town a second time and repeated your performance of running through flowers and destroying them despite my friendly reminder to not run through flowers. That is to say I still didnt mention your name, any comment I left on gaygamer forums was as a general comment to all users about how to show respect in other peoples towns (especially mine, lol).

You may have been "blacklisted" by close friends of mine, but then they have also seen your online behaviour to warrant the blacklisting. But nowhere was there any bullying, you were asked politely (as all my online friends were) to watch where you are running. But you showed total disregard to my request and felt you could do as you pleased and to be frank I felt bullied by your total lack of respect of the hard work and sheer amount of hours I had put into the game to grow those flowers.

If you'd chosen to play the game respectfully and joined in the community as many have then you would have had a much better experience. But instead you chose to behave the way you did and didn't gain friends because of it. I did not play any part in that. I'm afraid it was all your own doing.

Regards

Sam, Hyrule 1419-0522-5721

wow!!! I had no idea
I don't know what to say,
I wouldn't damage any thing like that I'm really really shocked

...Well you did... twice and not only in Hyrule. Just so you know; originally your identity was privvy to myself, the two that witnessed it and anyone that mentioned "some guy in [YOUR TOWN NAME]" trampled flowers from running.

Excuse my profanity but I worked fucking hard to gain perfect town status and maintain it to grow Jacobs ladders as well as grow several hybrids which I had in a patch next to my Nooks (out of the way so noone would run over it).

I never believed that you behaved in a malicious way, but you did act with a total lack of respect. If you read my message on the Animal Crossing social group you will see that I have said if such a thing happens then tell you host as he can quickly fix it (ie. Reset the game).

We have all dont it at some point or another by accident. But as a community we should tell each other and work together to rectify it. Personally I'm always picking up tiles that someone has carefully laid, BUT I always tell them I've done it.

Good luck with your town (I do hope you stick with it as it is quite rewarding) and that you make some online friends that you can play with and chat and help with their towns but just keep your finger off the B button.
