Video: The Munchables Feeds Your Wii A Healthy Dose Of Adorable

With Namco Bandai's newly announced Wii game The Munchables, I think they may have found a worthy successor to the Katamari Damacy games. Don't get me wrong, I love Katamari Damacy, but after four games (and another one on the way for PS3) not much has changed for the series and the novelty is starting to wear off. That's where The Muchables seems to jump in. It takes the basic Katamari formula of eating things to grow bigger, which lets you eat bigger things, and adds two important gameplay variations: platforming puzzles and boss battles. And though it doesn't have the catchy J-pop music from Katamari, the infectiously adorable art style helps to make up for that. The only thing I can see to make the game better would be if the King of all Cosmos, and his giant codpiece, made a cameo appearance. Look for The Munchables hitting the Nintendo Wii this May.
