Video: Super God Bros... Retro-active Mouse Control Added Through Emulation
Just... wait... what? Some one seriously has created a NEW gameplay experience through emulation. Normally emulators are used to play games from yore with varying levels of accuracy. Occasionally they provide filters and enhancements but NEVER have I ever seen someone add new gameplay elements to a title.
FCEU-XD is a developer (and cheater) NES emulator. It was created to help people doing fan translations, hacks and general NES work debug code, modify crap in memory and a whole slew of other stuff. Now, someone has added Lua based scripting to it. Yea, I know this all sounds like voodoo and not particularly useful to the general user... Until you actually see it in action.
Mouse control over enemies in Super Mario Bros.? Not just yea, but F'n yea! This, in short, makes me very excited to abuse and modify NES games once again.
