Video: Seven Haunted Seas Trailer - A Zombie Pirate RPG
Titmouse Games might be onto something with their first game Seven Haunted Seas. How could an RPG where you play as an evil zombie pirate possibly go wrong? Of course, I thought the same thing about werewolves with rocket launches fighting nazi dragons, and yet Operation Darkness managed to prove me wrong. But I have faith in Seven Haunted Seas, it has something else going for it in addition to a great concept: style. The trailer is just dripping with it. Although maybe I'm just a sucker for well done 2D animation.
You may already be familiar with some of Titmouse's handiwork providing the cutscenes for the Guitar Hero series as well as their work on shows such as Metalocalypse, Afro Samurai, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Megas XLR. But this is their first foray into making a retail game of their own, and if the in-game visuals can maintain the 2D animated style shown in the trailer, then I have high hopes. No word yet on which systems it will be available for, but I'll be following this one very closely so you'll know as soon as it's announced.

I dunno, the only zombie pirate i want to see is LeChuck
How is it possible to make a game as horrible as Operation Darkness? I actually made the terrible mistake of buying it and I even wasted around three hours of my life on it. Where were you then Lord?
This somehow reminds me of Medievil, with the undead protagonist and all.
Also, I can't help but to notice how PotC-esque this game is...
