More Max Payne

max-payne-06.jpg

Looks like even Mark Wahlberg couldn't completely destroy the Max Payne franchise as Take-Two has just announced the development of Max Payne 3, due out in Winter 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The violent NYC detective has left his job and home behind to find himself double-crossed and trapped in a new city full of blood and violence.

"We're starting a new chapter of Max's life with this game," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "This is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation."
Max Payne 3 is being developed by Rockstar Vancouver, who were responsible for Bully, so there's good reason to be optimistic. Anyone interested in some next-gen bullet time running and gunning?

Oh hell yes. I've waited years for this. MP2 is one of my all-time favorite games. I'm glad I'll have a PC capable of running this when it comes out.

Me too! If they can maintain the rich aesthetics of MP2 then I'll be happy with it. I wonder which ending will it be, Mona or no Mona?
