Guitar Hero Cleans Up At The Kids' Choice
Just remember, these are the same kids who love that green slime.
Activision's Guitar Hero World Tour was awarded "Favorite Videogame" at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, March 28. Apparently, 91 million votes were cast, which is a heck of a lot. What was its competition? Oh, just a couple of games called Mario Kart Wii and Mario Super Sluggers. Yeah, I could see that. But it also beat out my personal fave, Rock Band 2. Huh? I guess they were so distracted by the wireless controllers and cymbals on the drum kit that they didn't notice the weaker song selection.
But they're kids, so I guess I'll let it slide. I mean, they also voted Vanessa Hudgens as favorite actress and Madagascar 2 as favorite animated movie. Over Wall-E? Please. even Kung Fu Panda would have been a better pick. Sigh. What's the matter with kids today?

I'm actually kinda surprised, given Guitar Hero's track list seems to skew more towards classic rock.
As if we needed further evidence that kids have absolutely no taste.
Also, both WALL-E and Kung Fu Panda are a thousand times better than Madagascar 2 was.

Kids are dumb, period.
Kids are kids and let them be kids. Dumb or not, at least they don't call other people dumb only because of differing tastes.
In my experience most "non-gamers" call all guitar games (and most music games in general) Guitar Hero. I think this may be the reason RockBand2 lost.
I think Guitar Hero is cool. But I can't believe that they preferred Madagascar than Kung Fu Panda. Oh well, they are kids.
