BioWare Announces Mass Effect 2
We've already seen a teaser trailer that whetted our appetites, so it's a little anticlimactic that BioWare made it official today by actually announcing the development of Mass Effect 2.
"We're going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story," said Dr. Ray Muzyka, General Manager and CEO, BioWare and General Manager and Vice President, EA. "Mass Effect 2 is shaping up to be an unforgettable RPG-shooter experience, taking players on a non-stop roller-coaster ride filled with stunning plot twists and no-holds-barred action."
Apparently, although Saren and the Geth have been defeated, the struggling human race is now faced with an even greater peril. Isn't that always the way? I don't even care what I'm going to fight — I'm all over this game like white on rice. The original Mass Effect is probably one of my favorite games ever (I even read the tie-in novel and downloaded the premium theme for my 360), so a sequel can't get here fast enough! Unfortunately, the scheduled release date for ME2 on the Xbox 360 and PC is "Early 2010." Bastards.

If they do the sex thing again, I hope they will have Gay sex rather than just lesbian and a wider choice of species. Screw the human, I wanted to be with Garrus, he had more personality than any of the humans. Same with Wrex.
i already pre-ordered it...I loved the original and I've played it 4 times already. Twice back to back...I'm on the fifth play through..commander Shappard is one of the sexiest characters i've ever come across..I'm a huge Sci-Fi nut..so this was like music to my ears...I so can't wait for the next one.
