Be The Don In Godfather II

EA has just announced that they're offering a new mutliplayer mode for the upcoming Godfather II on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC called Don Control. This will be a free download available when the game launches on April 7 in North America and April 10 in Europe. Don Control will allow players to compete online with the strategic side of the game to see who is the ultimate crime boss. You can challenge up to 16 different players to win their in-game currency, but recruiting others to your cause could cost you a cut of your profits, and if you lose, all your cash from your single player game could be gone in a puff of smoke!
I appreciate EA wanting to add replayability to the game, but I almost wish that they'd waited a bit before announcing this. After the recent Resident Evil 5 DLC drama, I feel developers are just getting lazy and pushing unfinished games out onto the market. If the DLC came later, it's like a special bonus to keep you playing the game. But when it comes at launch, it just feels like they meant to include it, but didn't quite have time. At least this one is free!
