Wootini's Weekly Whenever Wii Fit Update #4

Well, I've hit yet another goal with Wii Fit, so I thought it was time for an update. aside from that freakish spike you can see a couple days ago, I've done a pretty good job of maintaining my goal weight. As promised, apparently, although I don't remember promising that hunk of plastic anything...
I've got some more after the jump, including what you all want... nobody can say I don't know my audience!
Once I hit my goal weight of 145 pounds, Wii Fit congratulated me (although with a complete lack of fanfare) and promptly asked me to set another goal. Now, I'd thought it would automatically have me try to maintain this weight, but it asked me to set another goal and time limit. So I set it to be 21.99 (the closest I could come to 22 BMI) and gave myself 2 months. And now, two months later, I found that I've been able to maintain that weight. There were only two times where I veered too far from the weight goal. Once was on the weekend when I weighed in real late, and I guess I hadn't eaten much because I'd gone down to 21.65, which was just below 143 pounds. Which was what made me realize that Wii Fit will give you a 2 pound leeway on either side of your goal weight. Aside from that dip and the spike the other day, I've found it relatively easy to maintain my current level of diet and exercise to keep my weight hovering around 145.
I still use Wii Fit every single day, even if it's only to weigh in with a Body Test and to log my crunches and running time. My current routine is to alternate a day of running with a day of upper body where I do the push-up side plank challenge and some boxing. I've really come to enjoy the boxing, even if my timing isn't always at its best first thing in the morning. Occasionally I'll throw in some Hula Hooping or some of the other Strength Training exercises, but not usually. It's interesting, because I feel like I'm at the point where I'm over Wii Fit, and would put the game away, but because I use it to track my progress, I can't. I continue to use the game every single day, and it's still keeping me motivated.
Oh, one other thing I found interesting, which was my birthday. See, on the main menu, during the winter, snow will gently fall, and sometimes the animated Balance Board will comment on the weather. Right now, he's worried about pollen, and hopes I don't have allergies. (I do) But on my birthday, the Balance Board was wearing a party hat and it shot streamer around the screen to celebrate. I thought this was hilarious, because I remember when I reached my first goal way back in the day, I remarked on the lack of fanfare. The game very matter-of-factly told you that you'd reached your goal, and immediately had you set another one. I wanted some kind of fanfare for doing that, but nothing. And it just seemed odd to me that they went to the trouble of programing fanfare, but then used it for your birthday instead of reaching a goal. Lame.
And to finish things up, what I know you all came here to see... another shirtless photo of me. Never let it be said I don't know how to pander to the crowd! (Even if I got lazy and shot a grainy MySpace-esqe mirror shot!)

Wootini for Associate Editor status!
You do know what we like Woot! Glad you're keeping up the good work. BTW I lol'ed when I saw your boxers. A) They say Nintendo and B) they say "bigger is better". Cute.
Way to go. Great post, and the pic... well I'll politely say that you are looking well. Please ignore the saliva.
I don't want to buy a Wii, or a balance board, but I see the advantages it offers and I have to admit it is tempting, even just for the tracking.
I think im in love...er lust... do you have a BF? lol
*fap*
You took a picture with a DSLR and this is the best shot you could give us. C'mon I want a reshoot....and 'yes' this comment is just a way to try and get you to feed us more pictures.
I think more frequent updates are needed. That way, we can um, encourage you more. Yeah. :)
I totally second the drooling! I think you should come to Hawaii and work that tan at my place...yum!
To join everyone else, You're hot!
Now to the teasing question :)
Is the Superman "Action figure" (dollie :) )your ultimate goal? :P
Hahaha wow Phil, are you ok? That chip on your shoulder must be awfully heavy...
Wootini, you're probably my favorite contributor on this site and it has nothing to do with your looks. Even though you play (boring) games like Animal Crossing, your posts are always fun and entertaining. Keep doing what you're doing!
To be honest I always thought your "before" pictures were cute (I guess I'm just a fan of rounder cheeks
I hope this is just the beginning for video games that help us become healthier, stronger, and happier.
Gah... half of my post got cut out... I guess that's because I used a "less than three" heart... Serves me right for not checking my post preview, I guess! Ok, here we go again:
To be honest I always thought your "before" pictures were cute ( I guess I'm just a fan of rounder cheeks ;), but I am very impressed by how you used Wii Fit to really improve your health and fitness.
I hope this is just the beginning for video games that help us become healthier, stronger, and happier.
Wow! Congratulations on meeting and maintaining your goals! You look really amazing!
...and Phil can go peddle his Victorian values elsewhere...way to be a rude douche, Phil (I suspect he's just jealous). Luckily most of us aren't terrified of the human body or hung up on religious-based guilt.
Aye, please ignore Phil Wootini.
The idea that gay culture must always be serious and censored to appease straight culture is both hypocritcal and quite sadistic.
Not only does it suggest a deeply problematic sense of introverted guilt, but it also turns a HUGE blind eye to the ways in which heterosexual culture is hugely sexualised in all areas.
If you think a picture of a topless man on the internet would 'damage' a child I suggest that your reference points are a little off, by about 200 years. If you do belive that's the case, have fun locked your children in a sensory deprivation tank in order to protect them from every advert, magazine, film, tv program, song, social encounter etc.
oh and wootini, bravo, great fun and you look top:)
Justin is 100% right! Couldn't have said it better myself.
And Wootini, you're success in your health goals is extremely inspiring! Congrats!
A note to the Phils of the world:
This site is not one that children can view if their parents subscribe to a net nanny type of service. We have self registered this site from day one with parental watch groups to ensure no parent who wants to shield their children from this site has to see it.
Just a comment on Phil's post.
The worse kind of Hate (not that any kind is good), is loathing yourself.
"If Gays could just be less "Gay". Sounds worse to me coming from someone who is gay then from some hereto nobody.
If Phil wanted acceptance, he is going to accept himself for what he is first.
Ps. Phil, you know you clicked the first link to see the picture. Wootini made it clear to any reader what to expect. Don't hate yourself for it. More importantly, don't hate anyone else for it.
who's phil?
;)
