The Conduit Gets Release Date, Lacks Split Screen Multiplayer

Talking to Nintendo World Report, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage Software Eric Nofsinger revealed that their upcoming Wii FPS The Conduit has a release date - June 9. Although the game will have several online modes, Nofsinger admitted that the game would not have split screen mulitplayer. No reason is given - it's probably just a lack of time or resources - so you can pick your favorite excuse. NWR seemed to get the impression that the feature could be included in a potential sequel to the game, should it garner enough sales to earn one. Also missing from the game is LAN multiplayer, which was quashed by Nintendo itself.
Nofsinger also confirmed that work is ongoing on the comedy title Animales de la Muerte, but that the large amount of audio was pushing it off WiiWare and onto a retail disk. No timeframe or further details about the game were given.
