Lips DLC Looking A Little Meh

I guess they can't all be winners. This must be karmic payback for being so excited about downloading "Magic" and singing along with Olivia Newton John to the awesome '80s music video (Headbands! Sparkly tights! Skinny microphones!) over and over again. My neighbors must think I'm crazy. Well, crazier, I suppose.
Anyhoo, this Friday's new DLC for Lips is a whole lot of nothing. For me anyway. Hey every song could be someone's favorite, right? Every pot has a cover, as my bf always says. Starting Friday, February 20, you can download for 160 Microsoft Points each:
"How To Save A Life" by The Fray
"Speed Up" by Funkerman
"Swing Life Away" by Rise Against.
Honestly, the sample of "Speed Up" kind of sounded good, but I'm wary of downloading a song I don't even know. Especially when it's sung in such a high falsetto. A bit out of my rage. Although it got me thinking that Lips should do what Rock Band does occasionally, which is to include songs by new, up-and-coming artists at a discounted price. They could even skip the music video in order to keep the price down. I wouldn't mind. I mean, charging the same for a number one pop hit as they do for a dance song from an obscure Dutch DJ is a little off. At least to me. On the other hand, if they're including more obscure European tunes, might I suggest a little Alcazar? Pretty please with sugar on top?

Love the Fray... good song. I actually own that Funkerman song and it's not bad really. Good danceable stuff. I'm not too sure about the 3rd band so I might not buy that tomorrow
