Layoffs At G4

Some people are having a bad day over at G4, it seems. Variety has revealed that they have learned that G4 laying off a good chunk of people from both X-Play and Attack of the Show.
A rep for the network has confirmed that it's cutting back its two daily programs, "X-Play" and "Attack of the Show" to three and four original episodes per week, respectively, starting March 2nd (two weeks from yesterday). While they declined to specify the number of layoffs, sources have indicated that a number of staffers on those two programs have gotten the axe, though the figures for the total network are in the single digit percentage-wise.
Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb will continue as hosts, so my guess would it's mostly crew/writing jobs on the chopping block. As someone who has been through several layoffs in the last year and knows all too well how bad the job market is right now, I offer my sympathies to those who are getting let go. It's not a fun time to be looking for work, but it will get better. Good luck!

I only watch the network now for either X-Play or Code Monkeys. Don't find anything else interesting about the otehr shows there.
I actually really like Sessler and Webb so I'm glad they're staying!
I hope it's mostly from Attack of the Show.
I'm not even sorry I said that.
Wow, G4's still on the air? The last times I'd flown past the channel, the content was nothing even closely resembling gaming, the gaming industry or even electronics.
To those losing their jobs, my heart goes out for ya.
