First Video Footage From Metroid Prime Wiimake

mprime.jpg

I've been waiting for this moment ever since Nintendo first announced the "Play on Wii" line of remakes. Taking what is far and way the best GameCube title ever and updating it with tried and true motions controls that mirror its Wii sequel Metroid Prime 1 will be getting a whole lot more waggle-y soon. While no US release date has been given, we can all take a gander of a short Japanse video courtesy of WiiFolder that shows off some of the additions this release will feature. Thanks to the beautiful and tragically underrated MP: Corruption, those already familiar with Ms. Aran should have a pretty good idea of how the shift in control will affect the gameplay and the three people in this planetary system that have yet to experience the greatness that is the Prime series couldn't have a better excuse to pick it up now. Keen eyes will be able to spot more than a few differences between this version and the Cube original. Models look a little crisper in 480p with widescreen support and Samus' visors look as though they feature a greater level of detail.

If by the slim chance that someone over of Nintendo of America is reading this, please don't put me through too much torture and release this here soon! My love for Samus knows no bounds, but I really don't want to play this through less than desirable methods.

I just played Corruption, so that makes me *not* one of those three people I hope...
Anyway, I never played Prime so I am anxious to give it a shot. I expect it to cost half a normal game or less.

If it's full-price I ain't even touchin' it, but I did seriously love Corruption and will be all over this. I loved every Prime game, especially the third one and it would be amazing to have that kind of control and immersion with the first game.

Based on amazon.com price points for the wii-makes of Pikmin and Mario Power Tennis, it looks like these games will clock in at just under $30.
