EA To 'Go Joe' With New Game
A hot press release from EA today confirms that for the first time since 1992 a GI Joe game is in development. That's right, soon you can be reliving the 1980s childhood dream by digitally controlling your favorite action heroes. The game in development by an unannounced EA developer is set to launch at the same time that the live-action GI Joe movie that will be releasing on this August in theaters. According to EA, the game's storyline picks up where the movie leaves off which will hopefully allow which ever studio is developing the game to take content from either the film, or any one of the cartoon series.
The game is set to release on all systems including the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2, PSP, and DS, as well as some other mobile devices. In the game you can play as any of 12 Joe characters that each have their own distinct abilities and personalized weapons. Apparently the game will also allow for two player co-op play, which means you and a friend can go after the Cobra Command together.
