Capcom's Fecal Feelings On Lost Planet 2

poop.jpg

While I don't come bearing the wealth of details on Lost Planet 2 that Wootini posted yesterday, Capcom's just given us a hot lunch of a tip regarding the timing of the game - Christian Svensson, a Capcom VP, insisted that Capcom won't "just shit out a sequel."

Oh thank god. That would be murder on your tushie!

A little context may help frame the quote better. Or, y'know, not:

"I'm a big Lost Planet fan myself, and I've seen a fair amount of the game at this point. Takeuchi-san and the team here have had numerous meetings over what went right, what went wrong on Lost Planet 1, how we can make a better game for the second.

"Takeuchi's approach was, you know what we're not going to sit back on our laurels and just shit out a sequel, we're actually going to take it up five notches. We're not going to under invest in this, we're actually going to over invest in this, and we're going to build it bigger."

"Takeuchi-san is a huge Call of Duty 4 fan and player, as is much of the team," he explained. "So I think you're going to see some influence from that sneaking in."

No, I've gotta say, this is one quote that reads the same both in and out of context. As a full supporter of the vulgar arts, I like this new colorful way of saying "when it's done." Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go "finish development" on my breakfast before it plops into beta.
