Brazilian Master Zapper Felony?

brazil_light_phaser.jpg

Just this week we hear Nintendo complaining about piracy issues in Brazil. I think that Nintendo was just upset how well the Sega Master System did in Brazil. In fact, it did so well that one man decided to use one of the light-guns from the Sega Master System to hold hostage a 60 year-old woman in her home in Samambaia, Brazil (suburb of Brasilia) to try and collect a debt.

Luckily no one was harmed in the incident, and the hostage was released 10 hours later after negotiating with police with the woman then held hostage at knife point. I'm just glad to see that she wasn't held up by some pirated Wii-Zapper, otherwise Nintendo would be foaming at the mouth to get the U.S. to do something about it. Pictures of the incident after the link.
