Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary

RUU_0067.JPG

Dear Diary,

This week in Narnia was actually kind of quiet. But a couple interesting things happened, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. I've really slacked off on the fishing and fruit harvesting because there's no incentive to pay off my mortgage, but I should probably get back on that because I was over in Castro admiring the beautiful fountain and found out you can get one if you donate enough bells to the town fund. Yeah. Not so worried about the town until I get myself out of debt, so we'll see...

I've got barely any paintings donated to the museum because Redd keeps selling me fakes (and one duplicate — Friga knows what she's talking about), and the fish and bug collections are stalled because of the season, but I've really gotten a lot of dinosaur fossils. Unfortunately, this means that like, 99% of the fossils that I dig up are duplicates. I should probably check and see what I'm actually missing because if it's only a few things, I could maybe trade with my friends. I did finally finish the Triceratops, though, so that was kinda cool. I love the dinosaurs. They look so much more realistic in this town. And there's more of them!

My boyfriend got one of these ages ago, and I was so jealous, but I finally must have hit enough balloons with my slingshot to prove to the heavens that I was ready for an upgrade. Because one day floating over my head held aloft by three beautiful gold balloons was a magnificent golden slingshot! Not that I really needed it, because all it does really is shoot three pellets instead of one, but it's cool to have.

I actually got so bored during the middle of the week that while I was in the city buying yet another forged painting from freakin' Redd, I decided to get another haircut. This time around, I told her that I didn't know what kind of a look I was going for, so there weren't as many questions. I don't actually mind the style, but man, I just have the worst luck with colors! I had to go and change my clothes so I wouldn't look so weird. At least the red track jacket and triangle shades are a look. Not sure what the look is saying, but there you go...

The other interesting thing that happened this week was that I stopped into The Roost for another cup of Joe and when I went to talk to Brewster, he noticed that I was carrying a couple of Gyroids on me. Apparently, he collects them for some reason. I don't get it. I mean, I've got one in my house because it kind of goes well with the music on my stereo, but mostly I just sell 'em to Nook for some quick cash. But Brewster's a big aficionado and offered up a storage space in his coffee shop as a place where I could store my Gyroids. Weird. I dropped off those two and the next day I gave him another, but I don't actually see the point of it. I guess if you're trying to collect all of them or something, it's a place to put them all, since you can't fit 'em all in your house, but I'd almost rather have the bells. Huh. Well, maybe something else interesting will happen if I get them all. We'll see.

God, I finally found a Lovely Wall for sale at Nook's after waiting for what seemed like forever. Not that I have even half of the Lovely furniture for my Lovely Room, but not having the wallpaper to match the carpet was driving me nuts! In other random news, I did okay in the stalk market, but I would've done better if I'd jumped on the 150-something price yesterday instead of hoping it would go up today. But 149 wasn't too shabby. At least it was more than the 102 I paid for 'em! Also, Rodeo told me he was moving out of town, so I very quickly told him not to go. He's my favorite. And when he told me it was "out of his control," I took matters into my own hands and bribed him by mailing him a present to keep him around. Mailing presents always stops people from leaving. But just to be sure, I wrote a really, really threatening letter to go with the present. In the end, he stuck around, which was good. But what was really funny was the next day he mailed me a Playroom Wall as a thank-you gift for his present, then when he ran into me outside, like ten minutes later, he caught sight of the Playroom Wall in my pocket and begged me to trade it to him for a stool since he'd always wanted a Playroom Wall. Shyeah, okay. Why'd you give it to me in the first place? Sometimes I think these animals are deranged...
