Wait For Final Fantasy XIII Even Longer
Those western gamers hoping to be exploring the world of SquareEnix's Final Fantasy XIII before the end of the year are going to have to invest in another Gossip Girl calendar to count the days. According to head honcho Yoichi Wada, the game will not see a release until at least the spring of 2010. Wait, I'm going to be celebrating two more birthdays before I can actually play this game? Thanks for ruining my year, Square Enix!
While there wasn't any specific reason given for the delay, there is speculation it has to do with the company's decision to simultaneously release the game on Xbox 360, yet they won't actually begin work on that port until the game is finished for the PS3. Now that is just rumor and hearsay, but if it is the case, this may be an argument in favor of console exclusives.
Final Fantasy XIII will be released in Japan exclusively on the PS3 this year, and on the PS3 and 360 in western territories after April of 2010. This has been a lackluster generation for JRPG's.

Yoichi Wada said that the game will be released in western territories "next business year". Sorry for you, but next business year starts in april 2009.
What delay? They have never said anything about the Western release date of the game before this...
All i'm saying is this game better be all that and a bag of chips... i did not like 12... i'm more of a 1-10 kinda guy, i liked my sappy love stories and main character with issues type of guy.
Is the Gossip Girl remark in reference to the fact that the pictured heroine bears a passing resemblance to Blake Lively? AT least in the face.
