SF Sandwich Shop Has Mario On The Menu!
Just yesterday I was turned on to an amazing sandwich shop here in SF called Ike's Place (Thanks, Josh!). Not only are the sandwiches beyond amazing, as I was standing in line I noticed they had a sandwich named after King Koopa. I looked a little closer and noticed they also had one named after Mario. I mentioned this to Josh and he said "Oh, check out the online menu, they have practically the entire cast." So I did! And here is the list of Mario themed sandwiches Ike's has to offer:
- Super Luigi - All Beef Meatballs, Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers, Marinara
- Super Mario - All Beef Meatballs, Mozzarella Sticks, Marinara
- King Koopa - All Beef Meatballs, Mozzarella Sticks, Stuffed Jalepeno Poppers, Marinara
And if you are a vegetarian, never fear! There are Mario munchies for you too!
- Super Wario - Vegan Meatballs, Mozzarella Sticks, Marinara
- Super Wa-Luigi - Vegan Meatballs, Stuffed Jalepeno Poppers, Marinara
- Bowser - Vegan Meatballs, Mozzarella Sticks, Stuffed Jalepeno Poppers, Marinara
No Princess Peach sandwich but then again, this is the Castro! So, if you are in SF and have a hankering for a video game themed lunch, be sure to drop by Ike's Place.be warned though, the place is VERY popular and at lunchtimes, the wait can be upwards to a half hour or so. My advice: Call your order in ahead of time!

shouldn't the vegetarian one be called the wart, i'm fairly certain bowser was a meat eater too. plus, i'm pretty certain he was the same person as king koopa. i mean you never see them both in the same place at the same time do you?
