Pre-Order Devil Summoner 2 Before They're All Gone

So last week Atlus USA hinted and then revealed their plans to bring Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon to the states this Spring. They also warned that the game would only be available in teeny tiny quantities, making every copy a limited edition, complete with super-cute Raidou Plush. After all that build up, they sent out another note last night officially announcing they've kicked off pre-orders for the game at Amazon.com and Amazon.ca (although it appears you can preorder at other retailers as well).
In the message, they also had a few words to assuage those who were underwhelmed by the first Devil Summoner, or anyone who might feel reluctant to invest in what might appear to be a distinctly last generation game:
Anyone who played the original Devil Summoner will find a much improved experience. Combat is deeper, control is tighter, demon negotiation adds to the challenge of growing your roster of demons, and an all-new mystery with multiple endings equals a vastly refined sequel. For series newcomers or RPG fans in general, nothing compares to the distinct edge and personality of a Shin Megami Tensei RPG, and Devil Summoner 2 offers everything necessary to serve as an excellent introduction to the universe. Hang onto those PS2s a little while longer, Faithful. You won't regret it.
If you think you may want a copy on May 12th, it sounds like you better decide soon, as Atlus seems convinced that pre-orders will eclipse available stock before too long. Unless, of course, it's just hype to boost the game's profile amid a sea of big budget games, and that eventually stores will be choking on Raidou dolls and clearing out the title at bargain prices. Are you really willing to take that chance? One look at those cute little sideburns and adorable hat and I know I'm not.

DAMMIT!!!
They won't ship to Europe. This is so unfair.
I can actually play this game on my PS2, but not if they won't send it out to Europe.
As I mentioned, Atlus seem to be pretty friendly with Amazon, but other retailers are stocking the game. I know Play-Asia is taking preorders - at $10 over the regular cost of the game - but I'm not sure if they'll ship PS2 games to Europe. They weren't exporting PSP games after some Sony threats, but I thought PS2 games were safe. If you have a normal import resource, you may just want to check with them.
Thanks for the Play-Asia referal.
I immediatly went and place a pre-order there and they don't seem to have Amazon's annoying little problem with delivering overseas.
I am from australia and amazon will not ship here for this item. First time I have ever had that problem. Play asia it is.
Not that I have a ps3 yet, just an xbox 360, but I am unsure why atlus is still stuck in the last generation. Not that I mind but come on, is it the lower budget needed for a ps2 game? Hopefully that make the jump, oh and would widescreen support be too much to ask?
I hope they don't. Nothing wrong with keeping the PS2 alive. Especially not seeing as how the PS3 is doing.
SMT games don't need the tech of the PS3 anyway. They're not about graphics, but about an atmosphere. One that can be perfectly created on a PS2.
Of course, the big question is will this game be worth it. I would have liked the opportunity to read some reviews before having to decide whether or not to make a purchase.
