New Releases For The Week Of 01/12/09
Remember my little resolution about only buying one new game a month? Well January is proving that this little limit may be easier to stick to than I first thought. For fans of the Tolkien masterpiece that is Lord of the Rings (I am not one of these people), you now have a chance to relive the massive battles that made the movies almost bearable. Choose your side, choose your class, and team up or fight against friends in Lord of the Rings: Conquest. I'll just be sifting through the hate mail I receive from you adorable little hobbits. Also this week we've got the PC release of Mirror's Edge. I have the game for 360 but haven't had a chance to play through it. Those wondering if they should pick it up should check out our own Game-Boy's review. He seemed to enjoy it. Next up is Moon on DS, a FPS set...on the moon. We've seen attempts at the genre on the DS in the past and hopefully Moon gets the formula right. Just don't require boneless fingers to work the controls. The rest of this week's releases fall dangerously close to edutainment, which I simply refuse to speak about. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a ring I'm looking to pawn.

- Mirror's Edge (PC)
