Majesco Cooks Up 25% Revenue Hike

As far as the economy goes, it looks like Mama can definitely fix it: Majesco has reported a 25.3% increase in revenue for its fiscal year, including a whopping 51.2% increase year-on-year for its fourth quarter, a period when nearly everyone else saw profits either slump or tank.
A great portion of Majesco's success goes to the Cooking Mama franchise, which spearheads a Wii and DS portfolio that's only getting bigger and better - it grew 64% this year and, again, a stellar 86% in the last quarter. That kind of success is good news under any circumstances; in this climate it's borderline miraculous.
But only borderline - Majesco's growth is the direct result of good sales paired with good business decisions, and the fact that Majesco managed to cut their annual losses from $1.5 million to $900,000 means that their success is no happy accident. $63 million in revenue from a strategy that hinges on a cooking simulator is no small accomplishment.
