Konami Releases Silent Hill: The Escape For iPhone
Today Konami announced the availability of Silent Hill: The Escape for the iPhone and iPod Touch, the series' first venture onto the handheld dynamo. As a first-person 3D shooter/survival horror game, Silent Hill: The Escape has been designed to take advantage of iPhone features like multitouch and accelerometer.
Escape charges you with tilting the phone and tapping the screen to reload, and - perhaps ironically - gives you a flashlight that slowly runs out of juice during the game (a lot like the iPhone!). You can find it now for $7.99 in the app store.
Konami also brings DanceDanceRevolution S Lite to the iPhone, with 3D characters and official DanceDance fun. Also, it's free!

In this first-person, 3D shooter survival horror game, players navigate through various levels from an abandoned hospital to a cold subway with a dull flashlight while fighting off monsters and faceless nurses. The battery of the flashlight slowly dies throughout the game, limiting the player's vision as they search for a key to escape the monster-infested labyrinth. Players also carry a gun for protection to ward off the trail of chasing monsters. Taking full advantage of the iPhone's capabilities, players must employ the tilt sensor and skillfully tap the bullets to reload the revolver. DanceDanceRevolution S Lite
The worldwide sensation that started the dance game craze doesn't miss a beat on the iPhone. It's on the app store since november 2008 (at least in Europe, as I bought it in november).
Not sure about Silent Hill, but since the demo of DDR is free, I tested it out, and although there's only the one song to play, it's relatively awesome. Even with thumbs instead of feet!
