Getting Retro With Sega's Pole's Big Adventure
Maybe Sega isn't the company of terrible Sonic rehashes and failed concepts that I have started to believe they are. How could they possibly change my mind? Well, the platinum games previews are proving to be a promising step in the right direction. Sega also let it slip that they are releasing a game titled: Pole's Big Adventure.
What is Pole's Big Adventure? It's a retro 8-bit adventure involving a jumping, shooting, pixelicious cowboy platforming his way around pipes and mushrooms. Familiar, right? Retailing at 500 WiiPoints ($5) the game will launch in Japan in two weeks. Fingers crossed that it hits the US soon.

SEGA can't make a decent Sonic game, so they've decided to start making shitty Mario games.
Dear Sega: You don't have the right to make fun of Mario considering you've been making shitty mascot games for the past 10 years and I cannot think of a truly bad Mario game made by Nintendo made ever. Please stop.
Sincerely, a gamer who got tired of Sonic and Mario sticking their tongues out at eachother in the mid 90s.
PS: Crawling into a sewer pipe and coming out covered in shit and eating a mushroom that makes you grow so big that you die is something a bad webcomic artist would come up with in his first strip.
I disagree with Zeta. I am psyched. There’s a lot in video games --- especially classic ones --- that is ripe for parody. I’m surprised something like this doesn’t happened more often. I see it as Sega returning to its roots with its game-parodying Alex Kidd games. And that works for me.
