Video: Resident Evil 5 Live Action Trailer
I know what you're thinking. "Live action? Is he kidding?" Well, I'm not. This trailer for Resident Evil 5, which Capcom has titled Viral Campaign Episode 1: Ceremony, is actually pretty cool. And not just because the actor they cast as a flesh and blood Chris Redfield is totally hot. Which he is, but that's not the point. Okay, it's kind of the point. But it's a curious little trailer, and when combined with the creepy Kijuju viral website I posted about yesterday, it's an indication that Capcom is going to try something a little more interesting when it comes to marketing this game. So how long before Episode 2?

The guy is good-looking in the pretty-boy way, but I still prefer in-game Chris with his tree-trunk biceps (because subtlety is for real life :P). I think this guy is a definite upgrade from the 1998 one, though.
Hmm, I wonder why Capcom's starting crazy promotion right now. The game is imminent, but it's still three months from release. Not that I'm complaining.
because it's a viral campaign, spread the word by creating cheap videos that intice a gamer to buy them. Much like Cloverfield, which hyped itself using viral media.
Personally I'm holding off on RE5, I'm a huge fan but hate the way 4 turned out and with a crap plot so unless re5 has a plot to make up for the name and character usage I'll be passing.
Ahhh live action Chris was not a disappointment! Kraken is true about not having the huge build though ahah.

I seriously can't wait to get this game. The story looks super awesome. And it seems Sheva is with him in the end for the award ceremony, so I'm guessing she doesn't die in the end. Unless that's not Sheva and it's just a woman who looks like her, which reminded Chris of Sheva and made him tremble.
