New Year's Gaming Resolutions

It is once again the time of the year, namely the end time, when we all look back on the past 366 days (it was a leap year) and look ahead to the next 365. I spent the better part of my work day trying to figure out how 2009 will be different than 2008. Aside from a list of resolutions for my personal life that range from becoming a professional parkour runner to actually writing my great American novel I've come up with a few game related resolutions to make me a better, more well rounded gamer in 2009. I'll share mine if you share yours!
1. Only purchase one game per month-
I have a huge stack of games waiting for me to play them, in 2009 I plan to only add 12 more to my collection. Quality over quantity for me, plus it will really help my suffocating credit cards.
2. Experience gaming outside my comfort zone-
I consider myself pretty open to all types of games, but there are a few genres I stay far away from. In 2009 I am going to sit down and learn to play a sports game other than hockey, I'm going to play through Rock Band on the drums instead of guitar or vocals, and I'm going to actually find an FPS to play online, possibly well.
3. Be an equal opportunity gamer-
I am lucky enough to own the current batch of consoles, so rather than picking and choosing one to play more than the others, I'm going to strive to spread my gaming across all of the. No more playing favorites, I want them all to succeed because I'm a bloody optimist.
4. Own a Dreamcast-
I never can bring myself to get one off ebay but dammit I want one. I don't know why, I just feel like I missed a milestone in gaming.
So what are your resolutions? Post them below!

I loved my Dreamcast. It was shame developers and gamers never really got behind it. I still remember the hours I spent playing Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, and Sonic Adventure.
This past year I did the comfort zone thing. I learned to like Racing Games and got good at Strategy games! I'm really glad I did too. Of course now that I like so many different genres there is no way I could possibly get away with only 12 games per year! This year I'm trying to get into JRPGs on the DS; which I haven't played since Phantasy Star 3 on the Genesis.
I have like 50 something games for my DreamCast, so there is no shortage of games for it! It is well worth it if you have like a SDTV in the bedroom or something and want the best console for SDTVs.
I agree with the quality over quantity. I worked at Funcoland/Software Etc/Gamestop between 1999-2004 and have quite a few unopened Dreamcast, PSX and PS2 games.
Speaking of Dreamcast. I wholeheartedly recommend it. As mentioned above Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia are great. I even imported Shenmue 2 when it became a Japan/European only release. Great games...
Jet Set(Grind)Radio
Ecco the Dolphin was a great early showcase of the systems power.
Soul Calibur!
Sword of The Berserk: Gut's Rage
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
unfortunately it came out too early, lacked real marketing support and ultimately fell to victim to heavy software piracy. But hey.. It has built in 56k modem. Out of the box!
Buy one! You won't regret it.
Happy New Year!
I pledge to finish a game prior to purchasing a new one (have to get to the credit screen). Obviously not applicable to games like Animal Crossing or Sims.
Have too big of a backlog and need to work through them.
I bought a Dreamcast, got a few games for it, was underwhelmed and ended up selling it for way more than what I originally paid. There just wasn't much that interested me. There are people who say it's the greatest thing out there but I think they're letting nostalgia get the better of them.
