Video: Red Alert 3 Hassles The Hoff
Wow. Okay, regular readers of this site might recall that I am not the biggest RTS fan. So Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 was barely on my radar. But I've gotta say, they kind of got my attention with this ad. No, I'm probably still never going to play it, but I actually payed attention! Some have wondered why EA resurrected the much-maligned live actors in FMV segments, but it's clear that they've got a whole theme going here. And that theme is cheese. Spectacular, wonderful cheese. And who's cheesier than David Hasselhoff? Nobody. None more cheesy. Which is why he's the perfect spokesperson for this game. Remember, not everyone can talk to machines.

It's a crying shame RA3 has fallen completely under the radar, it was a disastrous week to release it in, you can't compete with the juggernaut that is Fallout 3.
Actually, Red Alert 3 is an excellent game, the FMV is hilariously bad as ever, and it makes as little sense, plus it has Tim Curry.
It also plays a lot better than C&C3, similar set up, but niggling problems have been addressed, and it's beautiful to look at.
It's a shame the reviewers still can't get over EA syndrome, Dead Space was easily a 9.2-9.3 [and I do not like Survival Horror] but it didn't pull a 9, and this deserved a high 8 rating as opposed to the 75-80% it's been getting. I'm a very, very vicious judge, especially as Red Alert 2 is my favourite game ever.
Like the over-ration of Sonic and Zelda games no matter what EA do, they're games will always budget 10% lower in ratings than the same game released by anyone else.
