Video: Chrono Trigger - New Boss And New Ending
If you played Chrono Trigger years ago, and the new boss battle and ending tacked on for the DS remake have you curious, wonder no more. Some kindly Gametrailers member has been kind enough to save you $40 by uploading the footage of both for viewing. Of course that means you won't get the satisfaction of reliving what many consider to be one of the best games of all time, but you're probably very busy anyway. Anyone who hasn't played the game, or wants to earn the battle and ending for themselves should consider the above video to be a gigantic spoiler, so unless you really didn't want to earn it yourself, stay away.

Ever since I'd heard that Chrono Trigger was going to be remade for the DS, I suspected that something like this (material that served to lessen the "gap" between Trigger and Cross) would be added.

I don't know how I feel about this, but I'm fairly sure it's not just filler to bring Chrono Cross closer to Chrono Trigger.

@Josh: What would you call it, then? The "new" boss IS the the Time Devourer from Chrono Cross, complete with Schala desiring to bring about the end of all existence.
I would agree with you if there was some kind of significant story addition to explain what caused this new enemy's appearance, but since all they basically did was add "there is a new enemy up ahead; continue on?", I can't help but think that "filler" is all that it could be.
