Street Fighter Gets Its Own Season

That's right, it's not winter -- it's Street Fighter. That comes in between fall and winter, at least as far as Capcom's concerned. The developer proudly announced the "Season of Street Fighter" today to celebrate/promote the imminent release of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. The fighter is due to hit the PlayStation Network on 11/25 and Xbox LIVE Arcade on 11/26. This "Season of Street Fighter" will feature an assortment of SF-themed DLC for both the PSN and XBLA. I've already written about the "branded digital destinations."
They kicked it off with the release of the Super Street Fighter Pinball FX downloadable pack. But if you prefer cards to pinball, there's a Street Fighter UNO DLC pack on its way. Street Fighter Command Cards will feature signature Street Fighter power moves as well as backgrounds and music inspired by the series. Capcom also promises another "little" surprise coming to the PSN later in the holiday season, and I'm not even going to insult your intelligence by speculating what in the world that could possibly be. They kind of gave it away with the quote marks...
Also, Capcom plans to release a direct-to-download music album of hip-hop tracks inspired by Street Fighter. Street Fighter Underground Remix will feature artists like DJ Qbert, Hieroglyphics, Redman and other. Each musician has produced a Street Fighter tribute track that will be free of charge and exclusive to the PlayStation Network when Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix launches. Sorry, Xbox owners!

ok this might not be a big deal to everyone else, but i loved the Uno packs. i wonder what the behaviors of a Street Fighter Uno upgrade would entail. perhaps they could get the mii60's to hadoken each other.
also, LBP Street Fighter DLC sounds kind of interesting.
I think I can manage to survive without Street Fighter rap. Isn't that in one of the circles of hell?
