LittleBigPlanet To Get Image Importer

I finally managed to swing myself a copy of LittleBigPlanet this weekend, reestablishing it as the controlling body of my household. What can I say, self control is not my strong suit. Sadly, I spend less time playing the game as I do hunched in the editor toiling away with various contraptions. Eventually I'll press that "publish" button and score legions of adoring fans.
As I spend more time in the editor, there are a couple of gripes that myself and I'm sure many others have encountered. First, there is no precision controls for things other than building materials. Sometimes I want to align a piston on the horizontal axis, and it simply doesn't want to let me. Next is the time it takes to do a rewind when there are network problems. Finally, the inability to import images from a source other than the PlayStation Eye.
I've made many attempts to get the results I want using the PSEye and while it works somewhat well, it's simply not the quite the right tool for the job. Fortunately, the crazy cats over at Media Molecule have heard our pleas. Speaking at GameCity in Nottingham over the weekend, media Molecule's Alex Evans stated that before this Christmas, LittleBigPlanet will feature some method of importing images to user created stages. I for one am quite happy to see this happen. I'm just glad I'm not on the content review team.
