Election '08: Thomp The Vote
I voted this morning, and as Mikey encouraged you all earlier this morning, go out there and make your voices heard. Elections are important not only on a national level, but more importantly on a state and local level. I was surprised to see just how many pork-barrel propositions there were on the California ballots this year when i was reading up on the issues this past week. Taking an active part in the civic process in your city and state is important. Just remember one of the big candidates for this year's election started out as just a community organizer.
Okay, enough serious talk, now for the funny stuff. Seems like The MinusWorld website has decided to do a parody of the current presidential election race by altering pictures and campaign ads of the candidates so that they look more like your favorite characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. You have McCain Mario running with Vice President hopeful Princess Palin, and on the other ticket you have Obama Luigi running with Toad Biden. That's two very interesting tickets, and a ton of hilarious photo ads to mock up.
So after you have voted today, give your brain a little bit of a rest and head over to check out just how crazy the elections get in the Mushroom Kingdom
