Cooking Mama Responds To PETA Parody

You may have read our article Monday about the blood filled PETA "parody" of Cooking Mama. Their point was to try and encourage Majesco to release a vegetarian friendly version of the cutesy cooking game. Not one to go down without a fight, Cooking Mama herself has sent out a missive to let everyone know where she stands on the matter.
"I would never put rat in my Ratatouille," said a feisty Mama while beating some eggs. "Like any accomplished cook, I create my recipes to appeal to a broad range of tastes and preferences. My only goal is to ensure you leave the table well fed."
The press release goes on to state that "while Mama is not a vegetarian, she fully supports the humane treatment of animals" and that out of 51 recipes in in the recently launched Cooking Mama: World Kitchen, over 25 of them are veggie friendly. Even with my poor math skills I can tell that that is at least half. Perhaps PETA should do a little research before pointing the bloody finger at Cooking Mama and her alleged kitchen of animal cruelty.

Haha, PETA even get served by video game mascots.
If she "fully supports the humane treatment of animals" then I don't think her recipes would call for their corpses.
@Keith: Humans, by nature, are omnivores, which means we eat both flora AND fauna, so I don't see why the cooking of animals is automatically considered inhumane.
That being said, there really is some horrible treatment of animals in the world today that I think PETA is in the right to be protesting against, but I don't think Cooking Mama should really be high up on that list of things to protest against. Maybe a realistic chicken farm game would be a better thing to spend money on to create?
The cooking of animals isn't inhumane, never has been, nor ever will be.
We're designed to eat meat, and people who don't eat meat as a general rule are insufferable preachy, egotistical cretins of the highest calibre, like Keith here.
Good use of the word corpse, gave me a chuckle, I'll live safe in your indignation, thank god people like you don't praise me, that would be depressing, while people like you dislike people like me I'm still doing something correct in this world.
How dare PETA insult Cooking Mama like this! grrr...
hmm... i do remember a tofu recipe on the first DS game, wonder how PETA skipped that one.
"Even better then mama!"
I *hate* to break it to you... but 25/51 is not "at least half". If it were 25/50, it would be half.
Sorry, I just had to get that in.
"...out of 51 recipes in in the recently launched Cooking Mama: World Kitchen, over 25 of them are veggie friendly."
I believe the key word was "over" 25.
P.E.T.A. must be really bored to waste their time attacking such things. In the end at least they provide some mild amusement.
Why aren't PETA getting sued?
