Amazon.com Kicks Off Countdown To Black Friday

With the economic slowdown and the short holiday shopping season this year, a few stores are giving shoppers a head start for Christmas shopping. Amazon.com is no exception, and they've started a "Countdown to Black Friday," 16 days of special videogame deals leading up to the day after Thanksgiving.
Today's deal nabs you a free copy of Lego Batman for the PS3 and a free HDMI cable with the purchase of an 80 GB PS3 for $399. Well, it's only the first day, maybe they're just warming up. I'd expect that in the coming days we'll see similar deals with a number of the current consoles and handhelds, as well as some other big ticket items. Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour Special Editions, perhaps? We'll have to wait and see.
Note that these deals are separate from their regular Deals of the Day, and apparently require you to enter a code at check-out. Also, deals change at Midnight, Pacific Time, and supplies are limited, so don't lollygag.
To get today's deal, add all three items to your cart, then at check-out, use the promotional code "PS3OFFER." Keep checking Amazon for future deals in the countdown.

man, nothing will be as good to me as last year's Customer Votes promotions. I got the purchase a Wii on Thanksgiving day for $70, which I then turned into $400 through the magic of Ebay.
good times.
*sigh*.... I just want to get Black Friday over with...>.
This will be my 4th year working Black Friday at Best Buy. It's hell, but, i'm used to it. I just know that if I get one lady bitching at me about WiiFits, I will stab someone with a pen.
