Wootini's Weekly Whenever Wii Fit Update #2

Well, it's that time again. Actually, it's not, but this time I gave myself so long to lose the five pounds that I hit my deadline early! Also, as you can see from the photographic proof above, not only did I hit my goal of 150 pounds, I also finally managed to have perfectly centered balance! I thought it was just a pipe dream, but there you go. I've never been able to do it again, but that's not for lack of trying. Actually, I think the day I did this, I was feeling sick, and was just weighing in so I didn't miss a day. Maybe the trick is to not try. Ooh, that's so zen! Also, as you can see from the above images, that game can get wicked snotty. Why must it always sound so amazed that you've succeeded at something? I never hated ellipses so much...
Anyway, I've been using my Wii Fit every day, still, even 22 weeks later, as you can see. As I said in my last update, I don't really do as much with the game itself anymore aside from weighing myself and keeping track of my progress. But every morning at 6am, (well, except for on the weekends, obviously!) I'm there, weighing in and seeing how I'm doing. Then I will do one of two things. Every other day, I will just weigh in and maybe do the Push-up/Side Plank exercise. And maybe the Plank. Then I do my short Abs of Steel routine and go out for a three mile run. The alternating days, I will opt for the lighter Wii Fit aerobics, usually the Hula Hoop or Rhythm Boxing. Then I'll do the Push-up/Side Plank, Plank and a couple other random exercises like some twists or something. Then I'll finish with the longer Abs Of Steel routine.
My system seems to be working pretty well. I'm still watching what I eat, trying not to overdo the treats (although with Halloween just around the corner, that's easier said than done!), and working out every single day, even if it's just for a little while. I'm stunned that I still continue to lose weight, and have now set my goal to 145 pounds, which is my ideal weight that I thought was so ridiculously unattainable back when I first started at 184 pounds. But now that I've lost 35 pounds, what's a few more, right?
I would sincerely like to thank Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto for creating this game. Miyamoto has gone on record in interviews as saying that he never intended Wii Fit to be a replacement for a gym, and it's not meant to actually get you in great shape. It's more of a gateway drug for exercise. And for me, it totally served that purpose. The games and exercises got me up off the couch and moving, and weighing myself every day not only made me more aware of my body and nutritional intake, but it also kept me motivated to keep going. Well, that and the way my torso looks now compared to five or six months ago! 145, here I come!

When do we get more before and after shots O:-)
Yes. Some recent photos would be great!!! :)
What's your waist size now? are you starting to see more definition in your muscles now? What does bf/partner think? :)
I used to wear a 33 waist, although those were kind of loose to begin with. As I started Wii Fit, those became so loose I had to wear belts. Finally I gave in and bought new jeans. Now I'm at a 30 waist, and those are good. I haven't had the guts to try on a 29!
I started to see more definition in my abs after I switched to the Abs of Steel videotape workout. It's just more focused than the Wii Fit crunches.
My bf loves it.
And if you guys are trolling for pictures, have a browse through the "How Do You Look" thread over in the forums. I've posted a few post-Wii Fit shots in the third one...
Videotape? How old are you? Haha, I'm kidding. I still have the MTV "The Grind with Eric Neis" workout VHS tapes in my closet. (and yes, I have more than one.

I've actually lost just over 25lbs myself since starting to use WiiFit about two and a half months ago. I used to do the strength training and running everyday, but recently I've actually started running *gasp* outside, too.
I find the most helpful thing is, though, being able to keep a tab on your weight. Knowing what you weigh, even if you're only tracking it once a week, is phenomenally important to making sure you don't overeat and being able to curb weight gain before you're up 10 or 15lbs again.
I agree with Wootini; Thank you Mr. Miyamoto for a wonderful product!
I had to take a screenshot of this. It's one of those times where a web ad is perfect in it's placement.
