TGS 08 (Video): Hotel Dusk Developer Cing Reveals "Again"

Hotel Dusk developer Cing has done it "Again". See what I did there? This year's TGS is shaping up to be a boatload of good announcements, my personal favorite so far is the announcement of that Tecmo and Cing will be teaming up to bring us the new adventure title Again: Eye of Providence.

The game features FBI special agent Jonathan Weaver, a man investigating the death of his family, and it's striking similarity to a murder which took place 18 years earlier. Hindsight plays an integral role in this title, as Jonathan has the ability to see visions of what had occurred in the past. Early builds of the game show that the game will be for the Nintendo DS, and played using the book style layout. Players will navigate the past and present simultaneously, each time line on it's own screen.

I have good faith that this game will prove to be as fantastic as the first three titles by Cing. If you've not played Hotel Dusk, get yourself $30 and head to your nearest game store.

Make that "get yourself *$20* and head to your nearest game store." Since it got reprinted with an ugly orange banger at the top, they dropped the price down to $20. A great game, btw.

What are the other two previous titles?

@Nexus: Trace Memory (DS) and Glass Rose (PS2)

Glass rose never received a US release.

Thats the most boring trailer i've ever seen. Is this a game or a straight to youtube 10min horror movie shot on a camera cellphone?

I'm torn! On the one hand, Again seems to be a brave return to the aesthetics of cheapo '90s FMV-based adventure games that I so dearly love. On the other hand, Another Code was an absolute waste of time -- terrible, bland plot on top of terrible, bland puzzles -- and Hotel Dusk was so dull I quit after 30 minutes of playing through a friend's copy.

Yet I still feel oddly drawn to this. If it weren't for Three Cards to Midnight, I might even think about picking it up.

It did get a PAL release though. I have it in my collection. Not played it yet though.
And I have finished Trace Memory or rather Another Code. Should have figiured that was from the same guys. Given the artstyle and type of game.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
