Video: EA Responds To Tiger Woods Glitch

Awesome. Thank you, NYDan, for bringing this to my attention. And I felt it should be shared with the readership at large on the main page. See, apparently, some snarky gamer posted a YouTube video of them playing EA's golf game where Tiger Woods did a little Jesus action, standing on the water to get a tricky shot. But EA would like everyone to know that it wasn't actually a glitch. Who knew EA had such a great sense of humor? Or Tiger Woods, for that matter?

Oh Goddess, I don't like golf nor golf games but THAT was just genius - if only every games publisher/developers responded to whiny cries about obscure glitches in the same way!

What's awesome is the "snarky gamer" that discovered this glitch is my neighbor. He lives in my apartment building. There was an article in the Penn State newspaper about him and everything a couple days ago.

And he's actually a really nice guy, too.

Bwahahahaha

What does he think about their response? And seriously, what's with the grumbling in the first place? As glitches go, I think it's a great one - some glitches are irritating, some funny, some just plain brilliant. Guess where I think this one falls (and Ea's response)?

Tiger Woods isn't the first guy to do it either, if memory serves correctly at one of the majors a french guy did 4 of them.

But yeah, I don't expect anyone else to know that on this site :0

Seriously Dryden, the guys a complete goit, and he's been embarrassed on a massive worldwide stage, well played EA.

I think it's a bit much to say this guy was "embarrassed on a massive worldwide stage." If you watched it, the original video was playful and not mean or all that whiny, and as far as I can tell he wasn't demanding his money back or denouncing EA's development studio. Obviously EA know that it was just a silly glitch, and the video they put out capitalizes on that.

To me this seems like a win/win, and a hilarious bit of viral marketing. It's too bad that the Gods of the Internet demand someone get pwnd in the end.

Here's an article about the whole thing.

Yeah, because it wasn't harmless rhetoric at all, I literally meant people will be throwing darts at 3D cut-outs of the guy that will be in tomorrows tabloids and prime time news shows.

I feel the 24 page guide on "how not to pick faults with video games and get owned until you are ROFLd to death by the internets" was a bit much.

I'm sorry, I guess I just couldn't comprehend your subtle British humor.

I assumed blindingly obvious was the same the world over.

Forgive me.

Wow, I could cut the sexual tension with a knife.

I seriously thought this story was already posted on GayGamer, but I guess not...but I have no idea where I saw it previously since this is the only gaming site I bother to visit anymore. Oh well.

This is a great video, but the comments here are sad.

Here we have Tiger walking on water like Jesus, and then we have Neo acting like an asshole like Jesus. Chill out, dude.
