Korg DS-10 Expo
I managed to snag myself an imported copy of Korg DS-10. Is it the single most amazing software synth of all time? Yes, yes it is. I don't care who disagrees with me, I love it with all it's retro style and limitations.
Do you live in Japan? Do you have Korg DS-10 or simply want to watch a bunch of people that do? Lucky you, because October 26, 2008 from 1:30PM to 6:00PM AQ Entertainment will be hosting the new Korg DS-10 Expo in Shibuya. The event will take place at a club named "axxcis".
For the low price of 1,800 Yen (2,000 at the door), fans will be able to show up and dig on some Korg tunes. There are no bounds to the jealousness I feel right now.

I love the Korg DS-1O! It's so simple to mess around with, yet very complicated once you get into actually making something that sounds good.
I've made a few alright beats, but so far, the coolest thing I have done is remake the opening part to "Blue Monday" by New Order.
The amazing part is that it is modeled after my favorite korg synth, the MS-20. It also has a kaoss pad built in, which just owns.
