It Is All About You

Greetings gentle readers. Being the new guy around the castle has its challenges. Let me warn you, when Wootini tells you that sitting on the roof during a thunderstorm is good for writer's block, he's lying. Yeah, and I don't care what sort of diploma he has on his wall, Tiny Dancer is not a licensed taxidermist. Alas readers there are perks to this job, namely the wonderful response I've gotten from everyone who has commented on my articles, or engaged in a little Doctor Who-style banter with me. So now I'm asking all of you a favor. We here at GayGamer want to know what you want!
That's right; tell us what you want to see more of around here. Do you all want more game previews, reviews, commentary on the industry, pictures of me stalking D-list celebrities? We are here for you. We're willing to consider all ideas that won't add to our criminal records, so either comment here or send me an email with your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks, I know you guys are going to be brilliant!

I want video reviews! Reviews. Heavily drenched in satire please. I love satire. Also do a feature of 'greatest moments' in gaming. I'm talking about that time when you finally defeated the Emerald Monster in FFVII or when you finally got Mewtwo, when you witnessed the main plot twist in Bioshock etc. with lots of screenshots, background information and so on and so forth. Real videogaming memories.
Also, I think the Doctor is cool, he's the kind of person who does Sudoku in biro!
Absolutely, all of the above! This site's got a humor that's better then I've seen, and the information just keeps coming all day across this and all other genres you're covering, making it somewhere I can check through the day for all my geekery needs.
- More reviews and previews? YES!
- More commentary? Oh, yes!
-More 'shots of hottie boothbois? ...well, do I really need to plead for such a thing?
Overall, keep it up! The work you're doin' here is fabulous.
I guess I would like to see more reviews, previews, and other features done with an angle that make this site more unique when compared to sites like Kotaku and Destructoid. At the moment, a good number of the articles posted here really don't have a unique edge or appeal that caters to this site's niche audience.
For example, I loved Wootini's feature on WiiFit. I also really enjoyed Fruit Brute's "My Precious Memories of E3" feature. The cool thing about these is that, while I think they definitely catered to the site's primarily gay demographic, I think they make interesting reads for someone of any orientation!
I also love the stuff you've written so far. ^_^ But more importantly: Have you seen my mummy?
Thanks for the great ideas so far! I've been pushing reviews with the head honchos so expect more of them. Bonus to people reading the comments, I'm currently playing Disgaea 3, Infinite Undiscovery, and Tales of Vesperia and will post impressions and reviews of all of them.
Also thanks Scarrit for the kind words, you guys seriously make my job awesome, even when people argue with me!
I am mostly interested in gaming culture and the way that games are changing us as a society. GayGamer has won my heart above all others because these kinds of articles exist here and its not just another cookie-cutter gaming site, like so many also-rans. As a gamer I also love the emphasis this site puts on games that themselves are breaking the mold. Thus, I have become somewhat of a GayGamer evangelist in my gaming-art community.
ROCK!
Any time I get a sneak peek of the people behind the site, I get a little thrill. I want YOU! It's all about YOU!
:D
Reviews and previews definitely - I love being able to come somewhere that's a little more ... civilised than the usual suspects for those. I have to second the poster above who mentioned Wootini's feature on wii fit; that was fantastic - even my partner loved it and she doesn't read gaming sites at all as a rule.
I'd like to see more of the kind of commentary of the gaming world that is on the Podcast. We are a demographic (meaning the GLBT community) and getting our perspective on things from an insider point of view is great.
I'm less a video game player and more of a table top roleplaying game player. When they first started Velvetdicebag they had great views, reviews, and some commentary ... that has waned in the past few months.
However, what's going on over at Pink Kryptonite is exactly the way I would like to see more of the rest of the site go.
There is a gay aesthetic and viewpoint, it's mainstreaming but it is still there. I've considered opinions and opinions from you guys in Gamer Castle vital in several purchasing decisions.
More reflective commentary from our point of view when reviews and previews are done is important.
Oh yeah, and more hot gamer men. {smile}
